Fighter’s Awakening – Preview

It will be awhile before I update again. Will be away for a bit.

So maybe just a preview video here. Do check back again towards the end of the month for the full gallery.

Anyway here is the video. (XviD, 2.58MB)

Thanks.

Modelling thoughts #3

As I said before, modelling is like a way of character building for me. When I read this blog today, I can’t help but feel that this is how many should tackle ‘big’ projects like attempting a full-scratchbuild.

Kit spotlight #1

Another day, another post. :)

My usual staple of modelling info diet consists of visiting several online retailers. Some of which are updated very often like Hobby Search.

Today, I found out that they are releasing a new Zoids kit soon. Usually I am not that excited about Zoids kits at all because they are really made as toys. Of course, with some work, they can turn out really nice too and those animal mechas looks totally kick-arse when done right.

But the usual Tomy kit has really thick and tough plastic (ABS?) and really puts me off. This new kit is a static kit and is going to be made by Kotobukiya. I wish more kits would follow this trend and remove the ‘toyish’ elements of a model kit. :)

Actually I saw news of this a couple of months back on a hobby magazine but I was unable to get more info about it. I will really look forward to this, together with the upcoming Selena kit from Armoured Core. Which I hope to be the last of the Armoured Core series. I already have the Mirage and the Crest. Together, the trio should look spanking. :D

Also in other news, Hasegawa will be releasing the VF-0S from Macross Zero in Full Armour glory. Reportedly in a box twice as big as the current VF-0S Battriod. That’s big! And very tempting. :P I know my gf is frowning.

1/35 Kaempfer Head/Bust Build #4

This should be the final in-progress update. I’m almost done with the bust entirely though there is always some minor tweaking to do.

Things went well since the last time. Except some paint chipping because I had neglected to prime some parts.. =.=

I am evil *rawr*

Posting under Life because it is not worthy of being posted under modeling and because I have to ‘blog’ about this.

Haha, its about me being my old evil self again. :P

Modelling thoughts #2

Yes another rant.

Just to side-track a bit. Apparently, I’ve always spelt the word ‘modeling’ wrongly. A (heated) forum discussion led me to check on the meaning of the word and apparently, ‘modeling’ is for those catwalk stick figures. Pfftt!!

1/35 Kaempfer Head/Bust Build #3

Update again! This time I’ve finished most of the painting. Except for the internals which I am still not sure of the colors.

Anyway, I’ve gotten my paint-legs back (as in sea legs, geddit?!) and the rest of the colors went on pretty smooth.

Yeah baby yeah~!

Well painting again after such a long hiatus was pretty disasterous. I spilled paint on the carpet! :(

Thank goodness it did turn out fine. Color is pretty spot on too. Heh.

Hm.. looks kinda plain though…

1/35 Kaempfer Head/Bust Build #2

Kekeke.. think most people (if any) are more interested in seeing update on the Kaempfer project rather than hearing me rant.

Well here it is. The model itself is complete. Next step is to paint and then followed by finishing up the base…

Modeling thoughts #1

In addition to modeling articles, I will now be occasionally posting some of my random thoughts regarding modeling. I don’t supposed many people are actually that keen on listening to voices in my head. :P But this is afterall a blog software and I think I ought to make better use of it.
