Hello everyone.
It’s been a while again. I’m finally settling well at my new place and getting used to my new life. Didn’t really get a chance to resume full modeling after the wedding due to the holiday seasons and increased workload. Anyway, I finally have some new WIP to post.

The Achtung Japan Hobby 80s Jet GB yesterday was great .
Though the environment wasn’t too conducive but it was good to meet so many plane nuts! Haha.
Anyway, am trying to push myself harder for the next GB meet which is “The tribute to Tomcats”. Almost forgotten the dates.
Here’s some of my in-progress.

Am completing my Su-34 soon. But that leaves me with precious little time to work on the Macross GB… Sigh… Work really sucks the life out of modelling for me, being home at about 8 everyday. There is just too little time for modelling.
Maybe I am just giving excuses but I do find it hard to tackle bigger projects when there is so little time. Anyway, think I shan’t give myself too much pressure. Afterall, it is a hobby.
Oh yes, the preview. Here it is.

The plane itself is completed. Short of just the full weapon load out.
Hope to post up the galleries soon!

It will be awhile before I update again. Will be away for a bit.
So maybe just a preview video here. Do check back again towards the end of the month for the full gallery.
Anyway here is the video. (XviD, 2.58MB)
Thanks.

This should be the final in-progress update. I’m almost done with the bust entirely though there is always some minor tweaking to do.
Things went well since the last time. Except some paint chipping because I had neglected to prime some parts.. =.=

Update again! This time I’ve finished most of the painting. Except for the internals which I am still not sure of the colors.
Anyway, I’ve gotten my paint-legs back (as in sea legs, geddit?!) and the rest of the colors went on pretty smooth.

Well painting again after such a long hiatus was pretty disasterous. I spilled paint on the carpet!
Thank goodness it did turn out fine. Color is pretty spot on too. Heh.

Hm.. looks kinda plain though…

Kekeke.. think most people (if any) are more interested in seeing update on the Kaempfer project rather than hearing me rant.
Well here it is. The model itself is complete. Next step is to paint and then followed by finishing up the base…

I’ve been wanting to post some updates on this. I wanted to update the entire site first before I move on to concentrate on this project. But hell, it sure is alot of work to put everything from the old site here.
So instead of letting everyone wait another 2 months, I decided to do this first. I hope you won’t mind.

When I first saw the news of this Group Build (GB) at FichtenFooForum (FFF), I was quite excited. I’ve spotted Ma.K kits at the local stores several times but never had the urge to buy them. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of Ma.K works but being the non-impulsive buyer, I never bought one.

I think many would ask me why would I bother to buy and build this. Since Bandai has a MG 1/35 Griffon Labor (cheaper too). But I do not have that kit even though I am a huge fan of the Patlabor series. The reason is because the proportion of the Bandai kit looks very wrong to me, somehow its just not the Griffon Labor I remember.
